T\u00edmto pravidlem se \u0159\u00eddili ji\u017e na\u0161i prad\u011bde\u010dkov\u00e9 a prababi\u010dky, kter\u00e1 na jej\u00ed \u00fa\u010dinky nedali rozhodn\u011b dopustit. V t\u00e9to f\u00e1zi toti\u017e doch\u00e1z\u00ed k odd\u011blov\u00e1n\u00ed alkoholu, kter\u00fd se ochlad\u00ed a odkap\u00e1v\u00e1. V t\u00e9to f\u00e1zi se ale je\u0161t\u011b nejedn\u00e1 o slivovici, kterou byste si ji\u017e mohli odn\u00e9st dom\u016f a nal\u00e9vat n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bv\u00e1m. K destilaci toti\u017e mus\u00ed doj\u00edt nejm\u00e9n\u011b dvakr\u00e1t. Kvalitn\u00ed slivovice by rozhodn\u011b nem\u011bla obsahovat p\u0159idan\u00e1 dochucovadla, cukr nebo t\u0159eba l\u00edh.  Opravdu luxusn\u00ed slivovice by m\u011bla m\u00edt obsah alkoholu okolo 45-55 %. Chu\u0165 by m\u011bla b\u00fdt jemn\u00e1 a m\u011bly by v n\u00ed j\u00edt c\u00edtit \u0161vestky nikoli pecky nebo jak\u00e1koli jin\u00e1 ne\u017e\u00e1douc\u00ed pachu\u0165. V\u00fdborn\u00e1 je spr\u00e1vn\u011b vychlazen\u00e1 a \u010dir\u00e1. N\u011bkdy tomu tak ale b\u00fdt nemus\u00ed. Pokud se setk\u00e1te se slivovic\u00ed, kter\u00e1 bude m\u00edt lehce na\u017eloutlou a\u017e zlatavou barvu, nelekejte se, \u017ee se jedn\u00e1 o n\u011bjak z\u00e1vadnou nebo \u0161patnou v\u00e1rku.
